Let’s face it. We’d all love to travel, however not all of us have the time and money for this. There are some stunning editorials you can buy, namely Boat Magazine: that give you an amazing and fresh new perspective on travelling. Let’s Travel Somewhere is a recently launched website that allows you to travel from place to place in different continents, viewing stunningly hi-res photography for these places along with collated articles and bits of information. As it has not long launched, its content is currently limited - the site is always looking for contributions by the looks of things, so why not add to it? I think Nisa Maier’s hit the spot with this one. Ignes Gamler did a lovely job on the design work too (just saying).

While She Sleeps

“I wanted to capture each song from While She Sleeps’ album This Is The Six in a simplistic, symbolic way using photo manipulation as the core digital medium. Each image depicts a tone that I feel reflects that specific track”

EDIT: Please note, Plague Of A New Age & Satisfied In Suffering do exist, I just took them out due to the Tumblr photo limit

What Windows 8 should look like by Sputnik8

This is a desktop concept that I’ve recently put together for fun. I thought I’d post a few screens to see what people here think. The screens include variations of explorer, ie (with a quick redesign of windows.com and bing), media center/player, and skype. Note that I didn’t aim for the design to be completely consistent with what MS calls ‘metro’ (for instance, I specifically didn’t want loops around icons, among other things). Anyway, click on the images to see the full versions.

If Windows looked like this, I would probably use it. Delicious!
